Volunteering days in "Leket Israel"

"Leket Israel" is an association that collects food that was planed to be thrown and gives it to people who need it.
For the association demands high volunteering spirit the contact with Steampunk was created, already last year. We contacted its office in Raanana and set a volunteering day.
We arrived at this day to the association's storeroom and were given a task. We had to prepare 140 boxes, full of food and basic necessities, 100 for lonely soldiers and 40 for needy soldier's families.
The boxes contained many delicious things, some of them were donated to the association and some of them were not qualified to be sold. After a few hours of hard but enjoyable work we finished packing the boxes and had a good feeling of satisfaction of another completed volunteering.
Few weeks later we got back to the storeroom. This time there was a soaps crates donation from "Hawaii" that was not qualified for selling to the public. "Leket Israel" designated these soaps for poor people, therefore there was a need to prevent their selling so we had to write on each one of them "NOT FOR SALE". As well as the last time we had a lot of fun and planned to come back again.
