Parents' FoodWhen you work 12 hours a day you'd better eat properly to hold up late at night. Therefore, every day at 8 pm, other team member's parents bring the whole team their home made food. Last year, before the project had started, we considered bringing catering, instead of making our parent to work a full day in the kitchen. After thinking, and consulting with graduates, we decided to keep the habit as it is, what in retrospect seemed right. Every day we stop working at 8 pm and go to one of the near class rooms, where hot food in big trays is waiting for us. We all sit together, students and mentors, eat, laugh, and have a lot of fun. As good Israelis, every meal includes Humus and pittas. After finishing eating we organize and clean the class room and then take a brake of 30 minutes, that usually includes a soccer game. According to many team members the food time is the most enjoyable time in the day, as the team is together, and everybody meets each other. |
