The New Safety Animation Video
Steampunk 1577 is glad to announce that we have finished the new Safety Animation Video for this season.
The theme of the video this season was Safety: Share It.

The New System's Beta Test
Like a lot of teams in FIRST, Steampunk 1577 has applied to the beta test of the new control system from National
Instruments. We, like most of the teams, were thrilled to see the new system and were excited at the prospect of teaching the cRIO to all the teams in Israel.
After we were announced as the only team outside America that got the beta,
we started getting ready to work with it and experimented it togther with Team 1657 "Hamosad" from Mevot Eiron.
We read PDF's at sourceforge's beta database. We explored the use of Wi-Fi connections and learnt everything we can about Labview pre hand.
Even though we got the Controls a little later than expected because of technical difficulties, we finally got
it and started working on it. As of today we have a working chassis with 2 CIM motors, a functioning Gyro, Digital Input, and have started exploring the use of the new Camera.
We have plans to do open days for teams to come and learn the system from us and Team 1657, as well as various presentations for
mentors, students and about anyone from FRC Israel and Israel in general who wants to come and see the systems.
The Open days in the Central part of israel will be held by Steampunk 1577, while Hamosad 1657 will do these days in the Northren part of israel.

Update
We've heard that Ort Tel-Nof have got another set of beta system from FIRST so they can show the system to the teams in Southren Israel. They have already visited us to get some intial tips to get started and has set out to explore the system themselves, with our offerd help all the way.
It was also brought to our attention that Miscar 1574 is going to get a set of the new systems.
Of course we will offer our help to that team, and afterwards to any team that gets the beta and requires aid.

Recently, students from Zachria's Angels team number 2230 have
come to see the new beta and again get some High Valued Tips. They were excited like we were when we first saw the beta and was thrilled seeing it working, as well as getting the tips from us that we thought they will need.
