Our robotics team was founded in "Aviv" High School, on its first year - 2000. After two years of learning basic robotics material, and engineering-related subjects while being endowed with values, the team participated in the "Fire Fighting Robot" competition. After two whole years of both local and international achievements, the team decided to challenge itself and join the "FIRST® Robotics Competition" - (FRC). Steampunk was founded and was assigned its team number, 1577.
Today we prepare ourselves every year for the FRC challenge, and strive to maintain our community involvement and accommodation towards our rivals.
This year (2011) our team consists of 22 students and 2 mentors. We are in the process of preparing ourselves towards the "LOGOMOTION" game, and are still dedicated to spreading values in the community as well as inspire people with technology & engineering; Hence our initials:
