The 2012 FRC competition was published on Saturday, January 7th.
This year's game features a competition between two alliances, one blue and one red, with 3 robots each.
Each alliance's objective is to score balls to one of the four hoops which positioned on both ends of the field on the back of the alliances stations walls.
In addition alliances can earn points by balancing their alliance bridge located in the middle of the field.
Except of earning regular points the alliances can earn game points which benefits for the final calculation.
In order to earn these points both alliances may aboard at least one robot on the middle bridge.
The field is divided by different lanes and zones colored red and blue - each defining the borders of the field and thus its limitations to each alliance.
The red zone is a half circle - the key, positioned in front of the baskets of the red alliance.
The bridges are located in the middle of the field while there is one bridge for each alliance that located in the sides and one shared bridge in the middle.
The Alley is a lane continuing from each alliance bridge till the Inbounder slots.
